The Hive Catering Co. is a full-service catering company providing meals cooked onsite at private residences and the best venues throughout the Willamette Valley.

We serve a wide range of menus for special occasions - weddings, rehearsals, holiday gatherings, corporate and non-profit events.

Because quality and sustainability are at the forefront of our mission, we serve dishes made from scratch with locally sourced ingredients and craft beverages using locally made spirits, beer, and wine.

COMMON INQUIRIES

  • DO YOU HAVE A MINIMUM?

    Yes, for full-service catering, we have a $10,000 minimum. Because we cook meals fresh onsite, we limit our catering services to two per day, maximum. If you are looking for a more casual option, check out our Group Options from The Hive Social available in the online ordering link.

  • HOW MUCH DO YOUR SERVICES COST?

    Menu prices vary by selection, ranging from $35 to $150 per guest. Service costs range as well depending on the timeline, set up and breakdown needs, serving styles, and terrain. It is typical for our clients to spend a total of $120 per guest on average.

  • WHAT SIZE OF EVENTS DO YOU SERVE?

    We typically serve events from intimate gatherings of 40 to large events of up to 400 guests.

  • HOW MUCH WILL LABOR COST?

    While there can be some variance for special circumstances, staff are typically scheduled to begin two hours before guests arrive to allow time for set-up needs and to depart one hour after guest departure to perform cleanup tasks.

    For plated events, we schedule one server for every 16 guests. Family style, every 25 guests. Buffet, every 50 guests plus 1. Servers are billed at $40/hour.

  • Do you offer bar services?

    Yes, we do! We offer inclusive bar packages ranging from $40-$65 per guest as well as a la carte options.

    Inclusive bar package pricing includes 5 hours of professional bartending service, premium spirits and handcrafted mixers, garnishments, ice, bar service tools, liability insurance, and utility coolers.

    Prices do not include glassware or additional rentals needed (bars, glassware, countertop ice bins, etc.) but we are happy to coordinate those items with your rentals.

  • Do you offer plateware, glassware, or other rental items?

    Rentals are coordinated through our rental partners. Rental costs start at $8 per guest for a basic place settings. Events taking place at private residences or venues that don't offer furniture naturally require additional rental items. Rental item pricing also vary by style and selection and delivery fees vary depending on location, day/time of dropoff/pickup, items rented, and venue structure (parking, stairs, etc). We help coordinate rentals via our rental partner, Arden Event Collective.

  • What if my guest count changes?

    Final guest counts are due one month prior to your event. At that time, we will adjust meal quantities, rental items, and staffing. The final invoice will reflect these changes. Final payments are due 14 days prior to events.
